We hope that You will share our delight over the quite unique surroundings of the villa as our guests. Our goal was to bring to this remote place all expected amenities of 21 century living without disrupting beautiful nature. Villa Mendes is a modern villa nestled in between vineyards, pine forest and the sea. Though only half hour drive from Hvar town, the peace and tranquility one can find here is beyond words. Relaxing and swimming in the pool or in the sea, walking by the coast and witness magnificent sunsets that You will remember for life or just sunbathing while listening to many birds singing in the forest – You will wish You can stay here forever.
When You reach the end of the road that leads to the estate, You will find plenty of parking space. First area You will encounter is a large stone covered terrace on the ground floor. Over 40 meters wide with splendid open sea views from every corner. Ideal place for sitting, relaxing, sunbathing or having a lunch in the shade of large tamarisk trees.
On the right side is the main house comprising of two master bedrooms on the ground floor and open plan living room and dining area on the upper level. At the back of the ground floor is a small studio for two with separate entrance. Master bedrooms offer sea view from the bed and exclusive designer en suite bathrooms. The apartment at the back is the only area of the estate that doesn't offer sea view. Meticulously crafted wooden staircase leads from the entrance hallway to the upper floor.

Large, 4 meters wide, glass panels on both sides are main attraction to the living/dining area that occupies entire upper floor. Main kitchen has all required amenities for serious cooking, while dining table offers breathtaking sea view. Upper floor is surrounded by wide terrace that encircles entire floor offering plenty of space for outdoor dining. Another 10-12 person table is set on this terrace.
After exiting to this terrace from the living area, You are greeted by scents of pine forest and Adriatic sea. The water is so clear that from the terrace You can see every single pebble deep into the sea. Walking around the terrace will eventually bring You to another large open space featuring a swimming pool with a roman entrance. Containing 80.000 liters of water, pool should be central fun point for whole families. A dozen sun beds are provided for sun bathing under the pine forest that stretches above the pool area. In the extension of the large pool terrace is one more terrace that can be used for dining, sitting or sun bathing as well. Unlike other terraces that are stone covered, this one is covered with grass.
Next to the terrace is external staircase for reaching lower grounds, the wide terrace first mentioned. Walking down the staircase, You can also enjoy a view to the garden that separates the main house from the guest house. We call it a guest house since it is completely separate building, but it misses no luxury offered in the main house. Two apartments, each with separate 4 meter wide glazed entrance. Apartments have same quality king size beds as master bedrooms, while bathrooms are even more spacious.
As owners of the villa, we spent lot of time planning and trying to predict what would even a most demanding guests expect. There where many parts of the project that were really hard to accomplish on this kind of private location, but our sincere hope is that You won't miss a thing of the life You are used to in the big city.

Villa Mendes has exceptional seafront location with rarely find privacy. Days may pass until You see someone nearby. Small fishing village Vela Stiniva is reasonably close, but steep mountain sides of that bay discourages tourists to stroll toward our estate.
The villa is easily reached from the main road by a cul-de-sac gravel road. The main road that runs across island Hvar is wonderful scenic experience in its on right. Views are breathtaking and there are several observation points by the road with plenty of parking space.
Arriving from Split by ferry to Stari Grad on Hvar, You have a 28km drive to the east near village Zastrazisce to reach the villa. If You would be arriving to the island from the south, than ferry from Drvenik on the minland will bring You to Sucuraj on Hvar. From Sucuraj to Zastrazisce is 32km drive.
